Webull is one of the world’s best-known trading apps, with more than 28 million registered users. It became popular for two main reasons:
- its low-cost structure, with commission-free trading on US stocks and ETFs in many markets;
- a modern app with advanced charting tools, suitable for both beginners and active traders.
But Webull is not available everywhere. Each country is served by a separate local company with its own licence, products and fees.
In which countries is Webull available?
In 2026, Webull is available in the following countries:
- United States
- Canada
- Mexico (entered through the acquisition of the Mexican app Flink)
- Brazil
- United Kingdom
- Netherlands (the only EU country so far)
- South Africa
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
- Japan
- Australia
- Thailand
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
In Europe, Webull launched in the Netherlands in September 2025, through Webull Securities (Europe) B.V., regulated by the Dutch AFM. It has said more EU countries will follow, but has not announced which ones or when. See our article on Webull’s availability in Europe for details.
Can I use a VPN to open a Webull account from another country?
No. A VPN only changes your IP address. When you open an account, Webull asks for identification and proof that you live in the country served by that Webull entity, so you can’t open an account from an unsupported country, even with a VPN.

Webull alternatives
If Webull is not available where you live, these platforms are available in many countries:
- Interactive Brokers: one of the world’s most reputable brokers, available in almost every country, with access to markets worldwide and US options, which makes it the closest alternative for active traders. Its IBKR GlobalTrader app is designed for beginners.
- eToro: known for social investing, where you can automatically copy the trades of other investors, with no commission on ETFs. Stock fees depend on your country. New users in eligible countries can get a welcome bonus worth up to $500. eToro is a multi-asset investment platform. The value of your investments may go up or down. Your capital is at risk. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 51% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.
- Freedom24: an online broker for European investors, with access to global stocks, ETFs, bonds and US options. New users in eligible countries can get up to 20 gift shares until 31 October 2026 (terms apply).
- Trading 212*: a commission-free investing app (other fees may apply, see terms and fees) available in the UK and most of Europe. New users can get a free fractional share with our promo code “FINTECH”.
*Capital at Risk. Sponsored Link. To get free fractional shares worth up to 100 EUR/GBP, you can open an account with Trading 212 through this link. Most users (80%) receive a share worth between €8 and €25. Terms apply.

Conclusion
Webull is available in 14 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands and several markets in Asia, Latin America and Africa. If you live elsewhere, including most European countries, you can’t open an account, even with a VPN. Interactive Brokers, eToro, Freedom24 and Trading 212 are good alternatives, depending on whether you value a wide product range, social trading or a simple commission-free app.
